The Municipality of Ponte de Lima received a delegation from the Municipality of Darabani, in Romania, during the municipal festivals, within the framework of the City-to-City Exchange program between the two municipalities. This visit comes as a follow-up to a recent visit by a delegation from Ponte de Lima to Darabani, which participated in the International Forum "Towns Up – International Small Towns Forum", held on August 6.
During their stay in Darabani, the Ponte de Lima delegation had the opportunity to meet several local producers of products such as cheeses, meats and sausages, which enabled the exchange of information and ideas for future projects in both regions.
As for the program of the Romanian delegation in Ponte de Lima, the main focus is on learning about local gastronomy and wine tourism, with visits to the CIPVV – Green Wine Interpretation and Promotion Centre, the CIT – Territory Interpretation Centre, the Ponte de Lima Cooperative Winery and the Higher School of Agriculture.
The Municipality states that this cooperation reinforces the commitment of both territories to the enhancement of their endogenous resources, the promotion of local products and gastronomy, and the creation of new opportunities for learning and collaboration.
