Complaints against AIMA fall by half while attendance increases

SOL9 September 2026 at 14:37

Complaints against AIMA have fallen this year to about half the level recorded in 2024, revealing a significant improvement in the quality of service provided by the agency. This decrease occurs in a context where the volume of attendance has increased considerably.

The agency's president, whose name is not mentioned in the article, highlighted the effort made during 2025. This effort translated into expressive activity numbers, with more than 600,000 attendances carried out.

Furthermore, AIMA issued more than half a million cards during the same period, representing a significant volume of documentary production. These data suggest that, despite the increase in demand, the agency managed to improve its efficiency and user satisfaction.

Maria Luís Albuquerque 'pressures' governments to save complementary pension reform

The European Commissioner for Financial Services, Maria Luís Albuquerque, intervened before the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs to push for political agreements by the end of the year on three priority files: the capital markets integration and supervision package, the complementary pension reform, and securitization. Albuquerque criticized the Council's retreat in ambition on the complementary pension reform, warning that if the final result is too timid, Europe will lose yet another opportunity to deliver real value to citizens. The commissioner defended that mobilizing private capital is essential for European competitiveness and strategic autonomy, emphasizing that success will be measured by what works in practice, not by promises.
