Amendment allowing Braille voting in elections for the Azores parliament published

An amendment to the electoral legislation was published allowing citizens with visual disabilities to vote by Braille in elections for the Parliament of the Azores.

The initiative was approved by majority in the final overall vote, having received 214 votes in favor and three abstentions.

This measure aims to guarantee the voting rights of people with visual disabilities, allowing them to participate autonomously and secretly in Azorean regional elections.
