A megaoperation mobilized 1,700 agents on Thursday to dismantle a criminal ring suspected of operating in the theft, unlocking, resale, and disassembly of cell phones in São Paulo. Named Frankmobile, the operation executed 84 search warrants and seven temporary arrest warrants in São Paulo and Goiás. Sniffer dogs from the Prison Police are also used to locate devices at addresses identified by the investigation as storage points for stolen and pilfered cell phones.
