A report from July 30 prepared by agents from the National Center for Immigration and Borders (CENIF) of the Police revealed that, unlike what happened in the early hours of the massive entry in Ceuta, in the case of the surroundings of Melilla, "intensive operational activities of the Moroccan police" were detected. The document analyzes Moroccan police activity in the perimeter of Melilla.
The report was sent on July 31 to the State Security Secretariat of the Ministry of the Interior. The document makes a comparison between the police response in Ceuta and in Melilla during the massive entry events.
According to the report, while in Ceuta no significant operational activities were registered by the Moroccan authorities in the early hours, in Melilla the situation was different, with intense operations detected by Spanish agents in the perimeter of the city.
This report emerges as part of the documentation that is being analyzed to better understand the response of the Moroccan authorities during the incidents at the Spanish borders in North Africa.
