PSD insists on greater participation of Madeira in national training policies

SAPO Notícias10 September 2026 at 10:41

PSD reiterated in the Assembly of the Republic its defense of effective participation of Madeira in the National Qualifications System (NQS). The position was taken during the detailed discussion of a bill proposal presented by the Legislative Assembly of Madeira.

The diploma in question aims to reinforce the intervention of the Autonomous Regions in national decision-making processes that have direct impact on their respective territories. The proposal seeks to ensure that regions can participate more significantly in training policies.

The discussion took place in the Assembly of the Republic, where the social democrats highlighted the importance of including regional specificities in national qualifications policies. This position is part of a broader context of demanding greater decision-making autonomy for Madeira and for the Azores.
