Storytelling Time and Walk in Parque das Serras do Porto

The Association of Municipalities Parque das Serras do Porto will promote an activity called "Storytelling Time and walk", on September 13th, at 9:30 am. The event consists of a walk through nature along the streets and trails of Santa Comba, with the meeting point next to the Chapel of Santa Comba, in Sobreira.

The walk has an approximate distance of 4 kilometers, on a round trip route, with an accessible level of difficulty, circulating along defined paths and trails. Upon returning from the walk, the Storytelling Time will be held, where an adapted story from the tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" will be told.

The event is aimed at families with children from 3 years of age, with the company of an adult family member being mandatory throughout the activity. Registration to participate can be done through an online form provided by the organization.

Young people from Voluntariado Sintra Jovem removed more than 98 thousand cigarette butts from Sintra's beaches during the summer, at the beaches of São Julião, Magoito, Maçãs, Grande and Adraga. This active citizenship action highlighted the environmental impact of this waste, which contains around 4 thousand toxic substances and is made up of synthetic fibers that last between 12 to 20 years.
