The Municipal Council of Aveiro announced the beginning of a rehabilitation project for the Exhibition and Fair Park, with an investment of approximately 993,360 euros, plus VAT. The objective is to improve the conditions of conservation, safety, and use of this municipal building.
The work includes the conservation of waterproofing on the roofs of the support building, the repair of pathologies on the interior and exterior walls of the administrative building, as well as the correction of deformations in four interior walls of the support building.
The intervention also includes the painting and renewal of the exterior canopies of the park's pavilions. A new solution will be installed, more resistant to local weather conditions and suitable for current usage and safety requirements.
In addition to being a space for events, the park also houses the Municipal Police and other services with significant impact on the development of the Aveiro Region, such as Ria Viva.
