Asian wasp kills man during grape harvest in Felgueiras

A 69-year-old man died this Wednesday in Jugueiros, Felgueiras, after being stung on the head by an Asian wasp while harvesting grapes at a relative's house. The alert for the occurrence was given at 2:39 PM.

The victim went into cardiorespiratory arrest and could not be saved, despite all the assistance provided on site by the Voluntary Firefighters of Felgueiras and the team from the emergency and resuscitation medical vehicle from Vale do Sousa.

After the death was confirmed, the body was taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Guimarães for additional examinations.

The GNR of Felgueiras took note of the occurrence and is investigating the circumstances of the accident.

Fire hits elderly care home in Viana do Castelo

A fire broke out at a nursing home of the Parish Center for Social and Cultural Promotion of Darque, in Viana do Castelo, on the afternoon of the 9th, at 4:16 PM.
