Camp Nou was once again affected by heavy rains that caused flooding in the press area during the match between Barcelona and Feyenoord, related to the opening matchday of the Champions League league phase. The video images show water invading the areas designated for journalists.
On Wednesday night, Barcelona beat Feyenoord 5-1 at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, which temporarily hosts the Blaugrana's home games while renovation works at Camp Nou are underway.
This is not the first time Camp Nou has suffered from water infiltration problems during heavy rain episodes. The structure has been undergoing modernization works, which have not yet been completed.
Barcelona thus adds three points from the first matchday of the new Champions League league phase, in a match marked by the rout and by adverse conditions at the sporting venue.
