The PS secretary-general, José Luís Carneiro, yesterday accused the Government of giving with one hand and taking with two regarding the agricultural diesel support until the end of the year. The criticism was made yesterday and targeted the Executive's policy on this matter.
Carneiro specifically referred to the agricultural diesel support, noting that the measure is not as beneficial as it seems for farmers. The accusation focuses on the discrepancy between what is given and what is taken.
The secretary-general of the Socialist Party also pointed out that the Government kept 400 million euros in this operation. This amount represents, in his view, an undue benefit for the State at the expense of farmers.
