Diamond on tooth: what are the risks of Virginia Fonseca's procedure after getting a 'V' for Vini Jr.

Influencer Virginia Fonseca shared in a post that she had diamonds placed on her teeth in the shape of "V," the initial of soccer player Vini Jr., her boyfriend. The procedure is semi-permanent, meaning it can be easily removed. Other celebrities like Liniker, Vivi Wanderley, Gloria Groove, and athlete Simone Biles have also shared photos showing jewelry of different colors and shapes on their teeth.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, a respected academic medical center in the United States, the procedure for placing dental jewelry is painless and simple, not requiring any conventional dental tools. The step-by-step process consists of preparing the tooth surface, applying a small amount of special glue to the area where the jewelry will be placed, and finally positioning the gem on the glue.

The text indicates that, due to the presence of diamonds or other types of jewelry on the tooth, a surface is created that can accumulate food debris and bacteria, posing risks to oral health.
