The new contemporary art centre for the city still does not have a defined location, with this issue being "under evaluation". Ribau Esteves, president of the municipal council, had proposed the installation of the new structure in the future urban development planned for the area of the former Vitasal. This location would be part of the extension of the São Roque Canal. Ribau Esteves' proposal emerges as one of the options under study to house this cultural facility, but the final decision on the location has not yet been made.
