IC1 blocked near Ourique after road collision that caused one seriously injured

SAPO Notícias10 September 2026 at 07:48

Road traffic on the IC1 was closed near Ourique, in the district of Beja, between the town of Ourique and the village of Palhais, due to a collision between two vehicles.

The collision involved a heavy goods vehicle and a light goods vehicle, resulting in at least one seriously injured person.

The information was confirmed by a Civil Protection source, which did not provide further details about the injured person's condition or about possible other victims.

The road closure forced the interruption of traffic on that stretch of the IC1, which is a national road linking the north to the south of the country.
