Historical change in 'El hormiguero': strategic alliance with a new partner for one of its most successful sections

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General10 September 2026 at 07:35

The Spanish TV program "El Hormiguero" will introduce a significant change this season in one of its most recognizable sections. Revolut will replace Openbank as the collaborator of "La Tarjeta de El Hormiguero", ending a long period of linking between the banking entity and this section of the program presented by Pablo Motos.

This alteration marks a historic change in the partnership that had existed for several years between the program and Openbank, which was responsible for sponsoring what became one of the most popular and long-lasting sections of the TV format.

"La Tarjeta de El Hormiguero" has consolidated itself over time as one of the program's classics, being one of the most recognized sections by viewers and maintaining a stable relationship with a financial entity throughout that period.

With the entry of Revolut, an internationally known financial services platform, Pablo Motos' program begins a new stage in this section, replacing the traditional partnership with an entity from the fintech sector.
