The Association of Construction Industry of the Azores warned yesterday of the need to ensure a transition without interruptions after the end of the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The president of the association argued that the end of the PRR should be viewed not as a point of arrival, but as the beginning of a new investment phase.
The association argued that this new investment phase should be based on a medium and long-term vision for the construction sector in the autonomous region. The warning comes at a time when the end of European funds associated with the PRR is approaching.
The construction sector in the Azores thus faces the challenge of ensuring the continuity of investments after the period of extraordinary financing provided by the PRR. The association warned of the importance of planning this transition in order to avoid breaks in the sector.
