Argentine midfielder Pablo Altamirano, 21, who plays for Newell's Old Boys, was detained last Tuesday (8) in Rosario, Argentina, for weapon possession. The information was published by Olé.
According to the report, Rosario police received a complaint from a 26-year-old woman and approached the athlete's car, a Fiat Pulse, which had a teammate inside around 11:45 PM. Following the stop, officers seized an unloaded 9mm pistol, a magazine and five rounds. The vehicle was also confiscated.
The player has been with Newell's Old Boys for two years and has made five appearances for the Argentine club's first team. No information has been released regarding possible disciplinary consequences from the club.
