Deputy Chief of Firefighters Dies in Crash on 25th of April Bridge

João Figueiredo, 46 years old, deputy chief of the Firefighters, died following a violent motorcycle crash on the 25th of April Bridge, in the South-North direction. The accident occurred on the public road and the victim did not survive the injuries.

Figueiredo was a professional recognized by his colleagues, who describe him as a "helpful and generous" person. His death caused shock among the members of the Firefighter corps with whom he worked.

The 25th of April Bridge, one of Lisbon's main road infrastructures, is frequently used by motorcyclists. The competent authorities shall investigate the exact circumstances of the accident.
