The leader of Chega, André Ventura, accused the Minister of Justice of lying to parliament and covering up for his colleague Luís Neves, who holds the position of Minister of Internal Administration. Ventura made these statements to journalists at the Assembly of the Republic.
According to Ventura, "we have all the conditions" to suspect that the Minister of Justice lied to parliament to protect her colleague from the Internal Administration portfolio. The leader of Chega considered that the Minister of Justice was covering up for Luís Neves.
This accusation arises in the context of some political controversy between the two ministerial departments, with Chega demanding explanations about Luís Neves's actions. Ventura maintains that there is sufficient evidence to question the conduct of the Minister of Justice.
