"I am happy dancing": Salvador Silva takes dream to World Championship

Jornal da Bairrada9 September 2026 at 20:45

At 14 years old, Salvador Silva already represents Portugal on the world dance scene. It was eight years ago that he entered the Dance School of Aguim, becoming the first and only dancer from this school, where he developed the talent that today sets him apart. Last July, the young dancer won the award for Best Dancer in his age category at the All Dance Europe, held in Greece, an achievement that opened doors to an even greater opportunity.

In November, Salvador will represent Portugal at the World Championship, which will take place in Orlando, United States. This participation marks the culmination of a journey of dedication and hard work that began in childhood and now places him among the best young dancers in the world.

Throughout his journey, the young dancer faced prejudice and insults, difficulties that did not take away his motivation. His determination and love for dance were stronger than any barrier placed in his path, showing that dreams can overcome any obstacle.

For Salvador, dance is a source of happiness. He himself states that he is happy dancing, a conviction that fuels his dream and drives him to continue climbing to increasingly bigger stages, proving that this art can truly take us further than we ever imagined.
