The Guard Firefighters' Federation advocates for "reduced price" of fuel for firefighting corps

SAPO Notícias9 September 2026 at 19:38

The Guard District Firefighters' Federation (FBDG) today advocated for the need for reduced fuel prices for firefighting corps. The federation considers this measure essential so that firefighters can continue to carry out their duties without being so penalized by price increases.

Additionally, the FBDG also advocated for the updating of the non-urgent patient transport price table. This update is viewed as fundamental for the corps to be able to cope with the impact of rising operational costs.

Both demands arise in a context of generalized increases in fuel prices and rising operating costs for firefighting corps, which has significantly pressured the finances of these entities.
