FC Porto has already made the payment of 800 thousand euros to Benfica, as confirmed by the club of the Eagles. This amount corresponds to the value set by the Supreme Court of Justice within the framework of the known "Emails Case".
Benfica has publicly confirmed having received the full amount determined by the highest Portuguese judicial instance. The payment thus ends a dispute that had been ongoing for some time between the two clubs.
The process arose from the disclosure of emails that were at the center of a sports and legal dispute between the clubs. The Supreme Court of Justice ended up defining the amount that FC Porto should pay to Benfica as compensation.
With this transaction, the financial issue related to this case between the two emblems of Portuguese football is considered closed.
