Robin Raikkonen, son of Kimi Räikkönen, former Formula 1 world champion, has signed a contract with the Red Bull junior team. The 11-year-old talent will join the Austrian team's driver development programme from 2027.
The news marks Robin's entry into one of the most prestigious young driver academies in world motorsport. The Red Bull Junior Team is known for producing top drivers, including four-time champion Max Verstappen.
Robin Raikkonen has already shown interest in motorsport from a young age, following in the footsteps of his father, who is a Formula 1 legend. Kimi Räikkönen was world champion in 2007 and competed in the top category for nearly two decades.
Joining the Red Bull academy represents a significant opportunity for Robin's career, as he may benefit from a structured path towards the higher categories of motorsport.
