Essential food basket already exceeds 255 euros

The essential food basket already exceeds 255 euros, according to calculations carried out by DECO PROteste. This value represents the largest price increase since July. The consumer defence organisation continues to monitor the evolution of basic product prices. In the last week, there was a rise of 52 cents in the total value of the basket.

A simple 10-second gesture when getting into the car — looking at the ground beneath the vehicle — can help identify mechanical problems before they become serious. According to RAC and the AA, British roadside assistance associations, a transparent, odorless stain may simply be air conditioning condensation, but colored, smelly or oily-looking fluids may indicate oil, coolant or fuel leaks. The color of the fluid can provide clues (brown or black oil, green, yellow or pink coolant), but it is not diagnostic, so placing white cardboard under the car to collect samples is recommended. Dashboard warning lights may not come on immediately, so suspicious stains should not be ignored. Situations such as the oil pressure light being on, a strong fuel smell or suspected leak in the braking system require immediate stopping and contacting assistance.
