A First Alert Dispatch was issued to respond to a wildfire in the localities of Braga, Fafe, Moreira do Rei and Várzea Cova. The alert indicates that the situation requires attention but has not yet reached proportions that require a higher severity dispatch.
The firefighting forces have mobilized six personnel to the field. An aerial asset has also been assigned to support the fire suppression operations. No additional ground resources were registered in this first dispatch.
The First Alert Dispatch is a preventive measure that allows the mobilization of initial resources before a potential escalation of the situation. This type of alert is common in Portugal during the wildfire season, particularly in areas with dense vegetation as covered by this dispatch.
