Russian tribunal confirms arrest warrant for Zelensky's chief of staff

A Russian tribunal confirmed an arrest warrant for the chief of staff of the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky. The decision was made by Russian judicial authorities within the context of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The individual targeted by the warrant is Budanov, who previously served as head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukraine Ministry of Defense. Russian authorities have been pursuing criminal charges against this Ukrainian official.

Russian courts had previously issued other arrest warrants against Budanov. These warrants are related to numerous attacks carried out by Ukrainian forces against territories controlled by Russia.
