The regional secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, Nuno Maciel, received today the president of the Institute of Vine and Wine of the Azores, Cláudio José Gomes Lopes, during a visit to Madeira. The meeting took place within the scope of the Azorean president's visit to the region.
The main objective of the meeting was the strengthening of cooperation between the two Autonomous Regions in the field of viticulture and wine production. The two regions share common interests in this area and intend to strengthen the bonds of collaboration.
This meeting represents a step towards promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences between Madeira and the Azores in the wine sector.
