Flavio Bolsonaro calls Dino's decision a 'decree against the Constitution'

cbn9 September 2026 at 16:22

Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, the PL candidate for President of Brazil, classified as "a decree against the Constitution" the decision by Supreme Court Minister Flavio Dino, which ordered the return of Andrei Rodrigues to the General Directorate of the Federal Police. The statement was made during a campaign event in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, where the parliamentarian is participating in a motorcycle rally on Wednesday.

Flavio Bolsonaro also expressed support for Minister Andre Mendonca and stated that a "special Lula group" at the PF had been "officially exposed." The PL candidate called Andrei Rodrigues a "Lula's lackey" and said he hoped the PF would regain autonomy to "go after criminals, and not the PT's political opponents."

The event in Juiz de Fora is expected to continue to the location where former President Jair Bolsonaro was stabbed in 2018. The senator classified the visit as a way of showing that the family faced the "trauma" associated with the stabbing his father suffered on the campaign trail eight years ago.

She also warned about the problem of long-term contracts, whose impact affects future generations and which, according to the official, are not being safeguarded by the current system.
