U.S. sellers nearly tripled their share of international sales on Mercado Livre in Brazil over a 16-month period. The growth was identified by analytics platform JoomPulse, which uses artificial intelligence to monitor e-commerce data.
According to the survey, cross-border GMV — the indicator that measures the total value of foreign product sales — rose from 8.7% in April 2025 to 25.9% in August of this year. This represents a significant jump in the market share occupied by American sellers on the Brazilian platform.
