Constância School Grouping gains more than 40 students after years of decline

Correio do Ribatejo9 September 2026 at 16:17

The Constância School Grouping starts the 2026/2027 school year with 597 students, representing an increase of 42 students compared to the previous year. This growth is observed especially among residents of the municipality itself.

The mayor or association president spoke to the news agency about this matter, considering the increase good news for the municipality. According to the official, after several years of losing students, this growth demonstrates the dynamics the municipality is currently experiencing.

The article notes that the recovery in student numbers follows a prolonged period of decline in the school grouping's population, which made this growth particularly significant for the local educational community.
