President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva spoke out on Wednesday about the crisis involving ministers of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and defended the "complete lifting" of investigations related to the Master case. In a message posted on a social network, Lula stated that "explanations and immediate measures" are needed to deal with the situation.

The president's post comes hours after Minister Flávio Dino reversed a decision by his colleague André Mendonça and ordered the reinstatement of Federal Police Director General, Andrei Rodrigues, to his duties. The case involves a dispute between court ministers over investigations and decisions related to the Federal Police.

The Master case refers to an episode that generated tension between STF ministers, with divergences over judicial and operational decisions involving the Federal Police. The crisis prompted Lula's statement, who demanded full transparency in the investigations on the matter.

Directly involved in the crisis are STF ministers Flávio Dino and André Mendonça, in addition to Federal Police Director General, Andrei Rodrigues. President Lula publicly positioned himself on the episode, requesting clarifications and immediate actions to resolve the impasse between the branches of government.

In campaign, female candidates celebrate request that led Mendonça to remove PF's director-general: 'I and the New Party removed Andrei'

Two female candidates for federal deputies from the New Party, Carolina Siebra (CE) and Carolina Sponza (RJ), celebrated on social media the removal of the Federal Police director-general, Andrei Rodrigues, ordered by Supreme Court minister André Mendonça. The removal request was signed by the two lawyers, who used the favorable decision to promote themselves electorally during the campaign. Siebra celebrated "the takeaway of the removal," while Sponza declared: "I and the New Party removed Andrei." However, Mendonça's decision was reversed on Thursday by minister Flávio Dino, who reinstated Andrei to the position, arguing that the New Party did not have "active legitimacy" to request the precautionary measure, especially during the electoral period.
