Rita Lobo Xavier will contribute to the firm's activities in matters of family governance and succession planning. Miguel Durham Agrellos, managing partner of the firm, stated that Rita Lobo Xavier is one of the most respected figures in Portuguese law, considering her integration an extraordinary reinforcement for clients and the natural development of a successful professional relationship spanning several years.

Rita Lobo Xavier is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University, where she teaches at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. She coordinated the curricular unit of Matrimonial Property Regimes and Succession Planning and was responsible for the design and creation of the first Portuguese postgraduate program in family governance in Portugal, which she continues to coordinate and teach.

She graduated in Law from the University of Coimbra in 1984, holds a Master's and PhD from the same university, and obtained her Habilitation from the Portuguese Catholic University in 2016. She is an author in the fields of Family Law, Succession Law, and Civil Procedure Law.

She was a member of the National Council for Ethics in the Life Sciences (CNECV) and has been Portugal's national expert in the World Bank's "Women, Business and the Law" project. She is also editor of the Journal of Law and Social Studies, a member of the International Association of Family Law Jurists, and a member of the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon.
