A student died after falling from a goal post and his parents are demanding an indemnification of almost 500 thousand euros from the school and from a teacher. The lawsuit was filed against the teacher and against the Congregation of the Hospitaller Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, which manages the educational establishment.
The parents base the claim on consequential damages, for loss of the right to life and for non-patrimonial damages. They demand jointly the payment of 265 thousand euros from the teacher and from the religious congregation responsible for the school.
The case went to court and is now being judged. The total amount claimed by the parents is around 500 thousand euros, covering the different categories of damages they allege to have suffered with the death of their son.
