Half of enrolled students missed the extraordinary exam session

Diário de Viseu9 September 2026 at 14:00

Half of the students who enrolled for the extraordinary secondary school exam session ended up not attending the tests. This high absence rate was recorded among 11th and 12th grade students.

Nearly 44 thousand students were enrolled to participate in this special exam session. However, a significant proportion of these students did not attend the tests that were held.

The extraordinary exam session is normally intended for students who were unable to take the exams during the regular session for specific reasons. This period takes place outside the usual assessment calendar of the school year.
