Half of the students were absent from the extraordinary national exam season. This was the second phase of the secondary education tests, which took place outside the usual schedule.
The Portuguese exam was the test with the most enrolled students and also the most absences recorded. Out of nearly 9,500 students enrolled in this subject, only 3,831 attended to take the test.
This means that more than 5,600 students did not show up for the Portuguese exam during this extraordinary season, which represents a significant absence rate.
The information comes in the context of the release of data regarding the second phase of national secondary education exams, which usually serves as an opportunity for students who were unable to meet the deadlines of the first season.
