The Academic Federation of University Sports (FADU) presented today a proposal to the Government and universities for the creation of a 50 euro fund per student, aimed at financing university sports.
The federation argues that this measure would allow for guaranteeing more stable financial resources for the development of sports activities in higher education institutions, directly benefiting students.
The proposal emerges in a context where university sports faces funding challenges, and FADU intends for this solution to be implemented in a coordinated manner between the executive and academic institutions.
This is not the first time FADU has presented initiatives to strengthen university sports, but this student fund proposal represents a new approach to guaranteeing adequate financial resources for the sector.
