Francisca Guedes de Oliveira, administrator of the Bank of Portugal, revealed that the institution has several ongoing projects aimed at facilitating bank switching for clients and simplifying the relationship between financial institutions and the supervisor.

According to the administrator, these projects will allow a more simplified experience for consumers who wish to switch banking institutions, eliminating administrative and bureaucratic barriers that currently hinder this process.

Guedes de Oliveira also highlighted the importance of investing heavily in schools, considering this investment essential for the financial development of the population and for citizens' financial literacy. This position arises in the context of the Bank of Portugal's initiatives to improve the financial system and consumer protection.
