A jet ski traveling at high speed collided with a packed tourist boat and threw one of the passengers into the sea, this Sunday (6), in Cholón, in the Rosario Islands, on the coast of Colombia. Footage of the accident shows the moment the personal watercraft, apparently out of control, hits the vessel head-on while it was stopped.
With the impact, a man who was standing on the deck was thrown headfirst into the water. The boat also spun after the collision and had its bow damaged. Despite the violence of the accident, authorities reported that there were no deaths or injuries.
The Port Authority of Cartagena opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the collision. According to a spokesperson for the agency, the facts still need to be "verified" and, for now, there are no conclusions about the causes of the accident.
