The Lamego Nucleus of the League of Combatants celebrated on Sunday, September 6th, its 102nd anniversary with a ceremony honoring those who died for the Homeland. The event aimed to keep alive in collective memory the supreme sacrifice of those who gave their lives. The high point of the ceremony was the remembrance of the combatants who lost their lives in defense of Portugal. The League of Combatants is an organization that represents and defends the interests of former combatants and their families, promoting activities of remembrance and tribute to those who served in the Armed Forces.
