The Intermunicipal Community of Lezíria do Tejo (CIMLT) has formally joined the CRJ+ network – Regional Youth Councils, a project that aims to strengthen youth participation in public decisions. Almeirim is among the 11 municipalities covered by this initiative.
The CIMLT's entry into the network was formalized on Tuesday, October 8, in Santarém, through the signing of a cooperation protocol with APPJuventude – Portuguese Association of Youth Professionals.
The document was signed by João Teixeira Leite, president of the Intermunicipal Council of CIMLT and mayor of Santarém, and by Hilário Matos, president of the Board of APPJuventude.
The partnership aims to create new conditions for youth participation in the territory, through cooperation between the 11 municipalities, youth professionals, political decision-makers and the young people themselves.
