Olhos de Água Beach, in the Algarve, hosts on September 11th and 12th the event "Fado by the Sea", an initiative of the Algarve Fado Association with the support of the Parish Council of Albufeira and Olhos de Água and the Municipality of Albufeira. The shows take place near the "Olhos de Água" sign, starting at 21:00, with the coastal area of the parish as the backdrop.
On Friday, September 11th, the show "Fado 3 Generations" is presented, featuring a meeting between different generations of interpreters connected to the Portuguese musical genre.
On Saturday, September 12th, the program closes with the show "Amália sempre", dedicated to the repertoire and memory of Amália Rodrigues, considered one of the greatest figures in the history of Portuguese fado.
The event is part of a program that seeks to bring fado closer to the audience through shows held by the sea, combining Portuguese musical tradition with the natural setting of the Algarve coast.
