Thai authorities opened an investigation into the Bangkok clinic where British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho Ubiribo, 43, underwent a penile enlargement procedure that led to his death. The man died on March 6, hours after receiving a hyaluronic acid injection.
Last month, a London pathologist determined that the filler application was the cause of death. After the case, Thailand's Ministry of Health ordered an investigation into the clinic in the capital's center.
On Monday, ministry officials visited the establishment to verify the circumstances of the procedure. Authorities are investigating whether the medical center has a valid license and whether it complied with sanitary protocols.
