Health regulator applies almost 500 thousand euros in fines in the first six months of the year

The Health Regulator (ERS) applied almost 500 thousand euros in fines during the first six months of the year. This information comes in a context of inspection and regulation of the health sector in Portugal.

In the second half of 2025, the value of fines applied by ERS was even higher, exceeding 660 thousand euros. This amount refers to 184 enforcement proceedings concluded during that period.

ERS is the entity responsible for regulating and supervising entities operating in the health sector in Portugal, having the authority to apply financial penalties in case of non-compliance with applicable rules.
