Mozambican fund finances 18 thousand projects and creates 42 thousand jobs in six months

Mozambique's Local Economic Development Fund (FDEL) financed 18,337 projects during the first half of the year, disbursing 824.6 million meticais, equivalent to approximately 11 million euros. Official data indicates that these funds enabled 21,848 people to benefit across the country.

The projects supported by FDEL resulted in the creation of 42,191 jobs, representing a significant impact on the Mozambican labor market during the period under analysis. The fund focuses on financing local economic development initiatives.

FDEL is a financial instrument intended to support small and medium enterprises and local entrepreneurs, contributing to the economic development of Mozambican communities. The figures now revealed demonstrate the scale of this public fund's operations in the first half of the year.
