Meo is again condemned by Anacom to 187.5 thousand euros, but contests in court

Anacom has again condemned Meo to a fine of 187.5 thousand euros, after detecting a willful violation of obligations related to the installation of telecommunications infrastructure. The decision came following two separate proceedings.

The regulatory authority identified that Meo failed to comply with the obligations imposed regarding the installation of infrastructure, considering that the violation was committed willfully, that is, with intent.

Meo legally contested the decision, following what has been its usual practice when faced with condemnations by Anacom. The company appealed to the courts to challenge the applied sanction.
