A 64-year-old man, paraglider practitioner, was rescued on the afternoon of September 8 after suffering a fall in a cliff area at Santa Rita beach, in the municipality of Torres Vedras. The incident occurred while the man was practicing the free flight modality.
The alert was given at 2:30 PM through the emergency number 112, and emergency services were immediately mobilized to the location. Authorities went to the beach to provide assistance to the injured practitioner.
