Benfica SAD closes fiscal year with profit of 19.1 million euros and reduces net debt

SIC Notícias8 September 2026 at 23:45

Benfica SAD closed the fiscal year with a profit of 19.1 million euros. This result represents an important milestone for the club, which managed to reverse the deficit situation it had been recording in previous fiscal years.

The club also managed to reduce its net debt during this period. This decrease in indebtedness reflects the financial management efforts implemented by the Benfica SAD structure to strengthen the economic sustainability of the institution.

Regarding operating revenues, Benfica achieved the highest ever value in matchday revenues. This growth was driven mainly by the performance in the Champions League, where there was a 36.3% increase in ticketing revenues compared to the previous season.

These results demonstrate a significant financial recovery for the club, which benefited both from the return of fans to stadiums in the post-pandemic period and from a more aggressive commercial strategy in European competitions.
