Benfica saw its profit drop 44%, to 19.1 million euros, according to data relating to the sports season. The red SAD faced an operational hole in the 2025/26 season, resulting from the team's worst sporting performance.
The drop in profit was due to both a reduction in revenues and an increase in operating expenses. The Lisbon club managed, however, to offset this deficit through player sales, which ended up balancing the accounts of the sports public limited company.
