Old TOP app stops working in SP; users need to migrate to new platform

cbn8 September 2026 at 19:24

The old TOP app stopped working in São Paulo and users need to migrate to the new version, which has been operational since Sunday (6). The new platform, called TOP – Transport App, is available free of charge for phones with Android and iOS systems.

According to Autopass, responsible for the service, the new app has simpler navigation and brings together, in a single environment, the main services of the TOP Card. With the change, the digital operations of the card are now done exclusively through the new app.

Users who already had registration in the old app do not need to create a new account, just using the same login and password. The information, products, and services linked to the passenger's profile also remain available on the new platform.

Among the services available in the new app are card recharge and other features that were previously scattered across different platforms.

'Side profile': why the lateral profile became a trend on social media

The "side profile" trend has been gaining strength on social media, changing the way people see themselves. What was once concentrated on mirrors and front-facing photos now includes videos, moving cameras and records made by others, leading to before and after comparisons, filters and content about nose, chin and jaw. The popularization of this lateral view has also brought a broader analysis of the face, where seemingly isolated features may be related to the proportion between different facial regions. Experts warn that the lateral evaluation should consider these relationships for a more complete understanding of facial aesthetics.

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy announced to the House of Commons that the government will introduce a law "as soon as we can," without setting a specific timeline. In June, the government had given a three-month deadline for voluntary implementation of these measures. Although both companies offer content protections for young users, neither comprehensively blocks the capture or sending of nude selfies.
