Free time can become less rewarding when one tries to assign a purpose to every available moment. The popular idea that balance requires dedicating the same amount of time to each hobby ends up confusing a leisure routine with a rigid work schedule.
A more effective approach consists of giving each activity its own place, without requiring that reading, physical exercise, creative work, and games receive identical attention. Balance in hobbies does not necessarily mean equal time distributions.
Instead of following a rigid distribution rule, what matters most is that each person finds an intentional way to organize their free time, allowing different activities to coexist according to their individual needs and preferences.
